Bus

Most of the final arrangements have now been confirmed and so far everything is thankfully going to plan!

So the details of the coach pickup/drop off time & location have now been confirmed and are as follows:

We have booked transport with AAA Coaches, so look out for a single-decker, 49 seat white coach with "AAA Coaches" written on the side.

Coach 1 - for family/close friends joining us for the ceremony
The coach will be waiting in the layby directly outside the Premier Travel Inn at 1 Morrison Link, Edinburgh, EH3 8DN
Please make sure to be at the pickup location by 11:40am.  The coach will leave at 11:45am sharp.

Coach 2 - for the reception guests joining us for the party
Similarly the coach will be waiting in the layby outside the Premier Travel Inn at 1 Morrison Link, Edinburgh, EH3 8DN
Please make sure to be at the pickup location by 4:10pm.  The coach will leave at 4:15pm.

Coach 3 - all guests returning to Edinburgh
Coaches will leave Mavis Hall Park at 12:30am returning to Edinburgh city centre.
The drop-off point will again be outside the Premier Travel Inn.
Anyone who needs to get a taxi from the drop-off point will hopefully be able to get one at Haymarket train station if there are none at the drop-off point.

Looking forward to seeing you all in 2 weeks time!!

Driving directions

If you are planning to drive to the venue you can get directions from: AA Route Finder
www.theaa.com/travelwatch/planner_main.jsp

Or alternatively you can use the directions below:

From Edinburgh City Centre take the A7 road south. At the Sherriffhall roundabout just north of Dalkeith take the A68 road signposted to Jedburgh and Dalkeith.

If coming from the West or the airport take the Edinburgh city by-pass (A720) and travel south and east to the Sherriffhall roundabout, as above.

After the Sherrifhall Roundabout, follow the A68 through Dalkeith and Pathhead. Three miles south of Pathhead at the small village of Fala turn left immediately after the red telephone box towards Humbie. Follow the road through Fala to a T-junction, turn right at the T-Junction and pass the stone archway on the left. Take the next turning to the left. Mavis Hall Park is situated on the right as you come down the hill..

If you are coming from the South, come up the A68 through Lauder, or if you are coming up the A697 from Newcastle, join the A68 at The Carfraemill Roundabout (just north of Lauder).

Stay on the A68, passing the Wind Farm on the top of Soutra Hill. As you descend the hill, take the 1st road to the right (the B6368 to Haddington). Continue on this road for approx 2 miles until you find yourself going round 3 sharp bends (there are some old farm buildings and farm cottages on these bends). After the 3rd bend you will see a small road heading down to the right opposite some cottages. Take this road and we are on the right as you come down the hill.
